Lafourche Parish is known for amazing food, unique music, and great entertainment. Our many events throughout the year feature these aspects all wrapped up into one memorable experience. 

Taste some delicious Cajun food at one of the more than 25 fairs and festivals celebrating everything from heritage to music to food. We embrace the joy of living year round at events including Mardi Gras, Thibodeauxville, the French Food Festival, and Louisiana Gumbo Festival where you can enjoy the sounds of live music and the thrill of carnival rides.

Cajun Music Jam

The Cajun Music Jam happens every Monday 5:00-6:15 pm at the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center. Guests are immersed in the experience of the bayou through authentic Cajun music and lyrics and are encouraged to sing and dance along.

Anyone is invited to bring an instrument and play along with local musicians or just enjoy!

Cruise into the past and join National Park Service rangers for special voyages on Bayou Lafourche. Experience the rich cultural heritage of the ED White Plantation Home and learn about the cultures of the first settlers in the area. Tours are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
