Hosted by Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center and open to the public Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from June 3rd - June 30th, the traveling Smithsonian Water/Ways Exhibit showcases the cultural, environmental, and historical influence of water in Louisiana's Cajun Bayou. Dive in and check out a variety of interactive and educational activities!

Saturday, June 12: Water in Art (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.) - Enjoy a variety of fun-filled family activities focusing on water in art. Enjoy accompanying photography pieces from Louisiana artist Lane Lefort, and have a chance at creating your own art masterpiece!
Saturday, June 19: Bird Watching Boat Tour (9 a.m. - 11 a.m.) - Calling all bird watchers! Join a professional ornithologist on a bird watching boat tour on Bayou Lafourche. Explore the great variety of birds and wildlife that Louisiana's Cajun Bayou has to offer, and have your camera in hand as you glide along the water. Space is limited. Saturday, June 26: Family Water Discovery Day (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.) - Join scientists from BTNEP, Sea Grant and your friendly National Park Service rangers as you discover the joys of water with fun family experiments and activities!
The center and exhibit is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
