New Sci-Fi Event GALAXIOM Lands in Thibodaux This July
Thibodaux, La. (July 8, 2026) – A new out of this world event is coming to Lafourche Parish! Thibodaux will soon become a galaxy of adventure as GALAXIOM: A Sci-Fi Gathering lands at the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium on July 18-19, 2026.
Created to unite science fiction fans of all ages, the inaugural event combines sci-fi entertainment, STEM education, and interactive experiences into a family-friendly weekend celebrating creativity, innovation and imagination.
Throughout the two-day event, attendees can explore robotics and droid displays, hands-on technology exhibits, celebrity panel discussions, aerospace presentations, gaming tournaments, a sci-fi themed vendor marketplace, costume and cosplay contests, and more. Designed to inspire the next generation of creators, engineers and dreamers while providing plenty of fun for lifelong sci-fi enthusiasts, GALAXIOM offers something for families, gamers, cosplayers and pop culture fans alike.
Located in the heart of Thibodaux, visitors can pair the gathering with authentic Cajun cuisine, local shopping and attractions throughout Louisiana's Cajun Bayou for a weekend getaway that's truly out of this world. Day passes are available for $15, while a weekend pass is just $20. Kids under the age of 12 get in free, making GALAXIOM a fun, family-friendly summer event for locals and visitors alike.
